Hello Everyone!! So, I want to apologize in advance for the short email, misspelling words and not being email to everyone back!! I have a short amount of time and so much to say!! SO...
Monday was our PDay we emailed and played basketball with our zone. I played basketball with the elders and my compaion watched. She kinda looks like a deer in the headlights when she plays basketball! It's funny but we all have our talents! So after sports we went to dinner at Olive Garden, a member took us. It was very good! After dinner we went to see the Humphrey family. They are wonderful!!
Tuesday I got sick from the Olive Garden I think... I don't know anyways I was sick that morning but we went to district meeting. Then we studied and had our oil changed in the car. We then saw the Moslanders, they are an inactive family. Then Sister Lamberson who is in the mission presidency called us and asked to come over to Chili's and meet her for dinner. We had no one sign up for dinners this week so we ate a lot of grilled cheeses which was fine! It was so nice to go out though.
Wednesday We studies and then went to the Anchorage Temple. It was so long but it was very much needed! We then went and saw the Plum family. Their little boy who is 12 and 8 are getting baptized. So we are teaching them! We then went to Sister Armstong's house. She has been married 5 times and we learned a lot from her... a little to much about her marriages but yeah! Then we went to visit the Humphrey Family again! We love them!! Then I headed to Ocean View with Sister Hewitt on exchanges.
Thursday I was on exchanges. We had a training/trainer meeting!! I saw my district from the MTC!! We were all reunited and it was so much fun!! After the meeting Sister Hewitt and I went to visit Wanda. Wanda has a 12 year old grandson that lives with her. Its a sad situation but Wanda has the coffee table full of candy and nuts and snacks so we ate a lot while we visited with her. After we went to dinner and It was the best ever!!! The members we ate with are the Houghtelling family from Larwenceville Georgia!! They are in the same stake as Snellville so we started naming all kinds of families we knew from the Georgia area!! It was wonderful! I was so excited to let my southern accent explode and someone could understand me!! Like it was wonderful!! Ya'll don't even understand how amazing it was!! I really hope and pray I get called to serve in the Ocean View area!! We then went back to Jewel Lake to end exchanges.
Friday we went out to lunch with one of our investigators Dessa! She is so funny! She takes care of her Grandma who is 103!!! She's still kicking! Anyways, Dessa is amazing!! After lunch we went to see Sister Bagley. My companion and her talked about dead people and I just sat there took some photos, and studied Preach my Gospel. Then we went to see the Humphrey's and then had dinner at Sister Whittington. She used to be a pilot y'all!! Like she used to fly air planes!! So cool. Anyways, after that we went to see Brother and Sister Meade who is the mission ward person. They are seriously so awesome!! I love them!! They aren't strange or anything!! It's wonderful!!
Saturday we went to a baptism in the area. We had a less active come Jenny Vue. I have to tell you about Jenny, she is 25 a single mother of 2 with no help! She is so dedicated to being a mom and she is trying to get her act together to get back to church!! I have so much respect for her! She is really an amazing person! She came to the baptism and then we walked around the temple. She really opened up to me about how and why she stopped coming to church. I shared with her why I stopped coming and what brought me back. After we went to have a lesson with Pamela and Damien. Pamela is a member who is inactive but is coming back. Damien her boyfriend is taking the lessons he is so close to being baptized! They are great. Pamela is such a great help to me!! Her spirit is just wonderful!!
Sunday.. Holy Crap! It was great!! Dessa, Jenny, Damien and Pamela all came to church!! It was great!! Sundays are super hard for me being I feel really alone. But Jenny and Pamela has been so amazing. Jenny just talked to me and was there sitting by me which was great. We had a lesson with Damien and Pamela that night and Pamela said that she really appreciated me because I cared. And i do care. It's truly wonderful to say that someone cares since i am out here. It's nice. So it was a hard week but it was good.
I have cried and I have felt really alone but Heavenly Father is always there for me and I am grateful for that.
everyone should look up Hope In God's Light it's a mormon message but every time you watch it you'll learn something. I cry but I learn something every time!!
Please write me letters!! It would be nice to get them
Love Y'all

I will be in the Alaska Anchorage Mission. But Anchorage is the ONLY mission in Alaska... Which means my mission covers ALL of Alaska and the Ukon Territories of Canada! Right now I'm not sure where I'll be at in Alaska! I will know on August 4th when I fly to Alaska from the MTC in Provo Utah!
I am full of emotions! I am very excited, anxious, nervous, and scared! It's a new place and it's a new chapter of my life that I don't know the outcome! I'm mostly nervous because I'm from Georgia so I don't know what it's like to be cold and what snow really looks like! Although, I did go to college in Utah for a year but the snow and cold didn't count at all!! I also have never seen a bear or a moose before in the wild and I hear they are everywhere! So, it's pretty exciting but scary!
The things I'm looking forward to the most is seeing the Northern Lights if I am in a area where I can see them, I'm excited to see the land but most importantly I'm thrilled to share the message of Christ! There are so many people out in this world who don't know his name! I'm excited to share his name with the people I meet!
A dear friend of mine shared with me that the work never stops and that I was going to do great things in Alaska. I hope she was right.
